MARIJUANA-BASED WELLNESS AND THE CBD MOVEMENT

In the global battle against chronic diseases and painful injuries, new products processed from the male side of the Cannabis Sativa (marijuana plant) called HEMP are capturing widespread attention and claiming recognized success from their health and wellness applications. According to the Food and Drug Administration, a purified form of the drug Cannabidiol (CBD) - an extract from the stem and stalk of the marijuana plant has been approved for public use based on more than 80 active chemicals as a nutritional supplement.  

Manufacturers like CANBIOLA (Hicksville, NY) recently stated that “CBD is now Federally legal in all 50 states thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill recently passed by congress and signed by President Trump.”  Also, the FDA claims to “work with companies to provide patients access to experimental therapies while clinical trials are ongoing through expanded access provisions. These approaches help protect patients while also allowing for the collection of data necessary to support the FDA approval of safe and effective therapies for use in the broader population.”

Canbiola produces CBD OIL developed from a pure isolate created through an Ethanol extraction process from industrial hemp- because their research has concluded that hemp carries a much higher concentration of the CBD molecule for easier extraction. The purification process is defined as the removal of the Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) compound and its psychoactive properties; the components that cause intoxication or euphoria.  Also, purification removes the addictive components, keeping only the medicinal benefits for safe public use.  "Unlike medication that changes biochemistry, CBD OIL works WITH the body to support natural body processes such as detoxification and self-repair for a better response... whereby side effects and addictions happen when the body has conflict with a foreign substance," says Dr. Robert Kornfeld clinical spokesperson and advisor for Canbiola.

Otherwise known as HEMP OIL, this product approval demonstrates the evolution of the wellness community and that advancing scientific research to investigate ingredients derived from Hemp can lead to important therapies. This new treatment provides new options for patients to 'bring them back to homeostatis- efficiently supporting natural body functions'.

In an interview with Canbiola CEO Marco Alfonsi, he expressed the “remarkable future for this industry … we're currently at the top of the iceberg with great space for growth. Any time you take a prescription drug such as Oxycontin, Xanax, you're masking the symptoms temporarily. With a product like CBD, it's actually going down and changing into the cellular level and trying to put your body back into homeostasis.
